Once everyweek, I have a call with Ed-san, an essay counselor I have been trusting since I met him. He is good at getting the point and deepening my responses. So at first, I was unable to answer to his questions because I was not well prepared thoughtful about myself. However over time, my idea I believed got so concrete that he could be satisfied with my answers. Sincerely, hoestly and thoughtfully, I could respond to his questions.
However, it's far from my expectation.
What he says was :
"I like your honesty. But what you said sounded something self-centered. If you cannot provide enough idea how you can do good for the world or people around you, your essay just sounds like you are going to business school to get self satisfaction. Of course, I guess in the course of framing and writing essays, you must have had those ideas. But, not enought. Again, I like honesty but you need to get yourself not celf centered. Need to focus on what you can do for others."
It really struck home to me....
