Same feeling
Now I am reading a provocative memoir like book written by one of HBS alumni who used to be a journalist. The book has been quite famous for its very criticizing attutitude toward HBS even though the author of the book is no doubt a man who graduated from the school. Of course, it aggressiveness is one of its sales point. However, I've felt that many people with cutting edge careers and seeking far more better position in business world by getting MBA from such a established and unmatched business school do have trouble in their balancing between seeking careers and securing their private life with their family etc. I have a image that compared with students in other business schools such as Stanford, Kellogg etc, students in HBS are like manifestation of the capitalism, I mean, seeking better position in terms of money etc at any expense. And I also have believed that almost every students in the school has already set concrete and well planned goals in their career plans. But those two beliefs are not necessarily true even for students in this prestigious business school.
